I will be speaking at the Woodstock 50: Then and Now Conference about the 1969 Wild West Festival, a huge free music and arts festival that was supposed to take place in Golden Gate Park in San Francisco the weekend before the Woodstock Festival. It was such a big deal that many in the underground press of the time referred to Woodstock as “Wild East.” If you are in the Boston area, come find out why you know about Woodstock, but probably not much about the Wild West Festival!
